CITY CENTRE ART DECO

Sara/Lichi ... I wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in the B200 in Barcelona last week, and how much we appreciated the help, suggestions and recommendations from both of you! The apartment was perfect for our needs. It is a lovely apartment and in a great location (well, except for when there's a strike ... ha!) Our final two meals were at the Italian restaurant just by the apartment ... La Tagliatella, and then at a restaurant called Salamanaca down at the beach for paella.
Thank you again for the help you both gave us. It really helped make our stay pleasant! We would definitely use or recommend You Stylish to others again for stays in Barcelona!

Greg was looking for a Barcelona apartment for the Mobile World Congress that would be comfortable, high quality and in the city center and we were fortunate enough to have something that fit him! Greg stayed in the Passeig de Gracia apartment B118, a very new and chic apartment that we have just acquired recently and redecorated. La decoración es muy cálida, a mi mujer y a mi nos encantó! No solo dispone de todos los servicios necesarios, sino que además está cuidado hasta el último detalle. Se ha conservado la esencia de una finca del eixample con mucho gusto, ya que el contraste con la decoración hace de esta suite/apartamento un lugar entrañable para disfrutar. Solo teníamos que estar una noche pero si hubiera sido una semana estamos convencidos que aun nos hubiera gustado mucho más, si cabe. No dudamos en que volveremos a alojarnos en estas suites. Hi Lichi, We just arrived at our home town in Kuching, Malaysia two days ago as we went to London from 21-30 December 2011 after spending 6 days in Barcelona. Apartment B305 is really a nice place to stay with all amenities available. Its location is fantastic, merely a stone-throw to everything from supermarket to transportation, shopping and site seeing needs. We would definitely recommend this place to others who intend to visit Barcelona. As a first time traveller to Barcelona, we were impressed with the overall cleanliness of the city. We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona very much. The apartment was up to a very good standard and it's location was excellent.
If there was one downside it was that one of the tenants in the apartment next door was very inconsiderate. He played his music loudly late at night and had his TV on full volume at 3.00 a.m. I appreciate that these are not your tenants, but they are bad for your business. We had two kids with us who would have been awakened if they were in the bedroom that I was in.
Otherwise everything was really good.
Thank you for sorting out one or two issues for us and for being really helpful. We will certainly come back and almost certainly book with You Stylish.

We were very comfortable, an ideal family vacation. Thank you so much for everything. More than anything, I must say that the greatest thing about the apartment is the location which is stupendous. Hello , I cannot find your link to write a review so will put one here. B305 October 22nd to 25th, 2011 With views over Catalunya Square, the sound proofing made traffic noise virtually minimal and yet the three verandas offered a chance to watch the world go by with the help of the welcome pack. Metro lines close by as is La Ramblas for evening walks. Best value restaurant is Les Quinze Nitz - there are queues! The apartment is as the accurate photos show with marble and wood and an efficient kitchen. Air conditioning is available and in October the temperature was 22 degrees plus. Football fans like us did the 10 p.m. Saturday game as well as the Barca Experience! Stephen, Diane and Gemma Francis

It's always refreshing to find guests that are enthusiastic about life and really take the reins of their vacation to enjoy their time. Stephen and his family did just that. Staying in the middle of the city could be a daunting idea...the first things that you think about are the cars and noise that must inhabit a place so centric like the Plaza Catalunya. Luckily, our apartments on Plaza Catalunya has soundproof windows so you do not even notice the fact that you are in a busy and cosmopolitan city like Barcelona. Mateusz, his family and friends came to Barcelona looking to relax and explore the city for all the great things that the city could offer them. After staying for 15 days, they became experts of the neighborhood and the city. That isn't saying that they have seen everything (because that is just impossible even if you live here) but they had a lovely time and felt right at home in the Eixample area. Just a quick line to say what a lovely time we had in Barcelona last weekend, we will definately be coming back again !!
You may remember that our boys were taking part in the Triathlon-they all did very well, all completing the Olympic course in under 3 hours. We were very proud !
The apartment was in a perfect location, as part of the cycle route went past our balcony !
We all really loved the apartment, but do have a couple of suggestions that would make it even better. We did eat in two nights out of three, and would have liked to have either had a table cloth,or place mats, as we were concerned about marking the table with hot plates. Also, there was only one hairdryer, which shared between 7 was not really enough- these days the boys use it as much as us girls!
However,these are just minor points-we would rent the apartment again, and recommend it, and you ,to anyone thinking of coming to Barcelona. Many thanks Jackie

Dear Sergio Thanks you for receiving us so well in the apartment. The truth is that we felt right at home. Especially with the comfortable beds and white sheets!! The apartment is a jewel and they have redecorated it in good taste. We also loved the area that was close to the apartment and two places in particular: the yoga center and the organic supermarket. The apartment we stayed in was perfect for our trip. We were in the Poble Nou district which meant my husband could walk back from Primavera Sound but the area was still quiet and safe for me and our six year old daughter. David came with his 10 friends to see the Primavera Sound Festival and stayed in the B400 Barcelona apartment. They got a lot more than just the festival though! First of all, they were able to just walk to the festival grounds and come home quickly afterwards. They also had the chance to hang out on the beach in their down time or sunbathe in the pool. Although the festival is pretty intense, from what they told me, being in this apartment helped facilitate in having more time to relax as well. They didn't have to worry about public transport or anything of the sort. This is what Sara, one of David's friends had to say about her time here in Barcelona.

Artur is currently living and working in Barcelona so his family flew all the way from Russia to stay with him and see the lovely Barcelona city. They stayed in one of our luxury flats right on the Mediterranean sea with a spectacular view of the sea and the city center. Barak came with his friends and family from Israel to stay in the city center of Barcelona. They went sightseeing, they went out at night, they ate the local cuisine and did everything important that there is to do in Barcelona. In addition to having a great sense of humour, it was fun talking to Barak about his adventures here in Barcelona and their take on the finals of the Basketball championship. We are lucky at You Stylish that we get such nice people staying with us. I guess it also helps that the apartments attract nice people as well.

Jaap and his family came to stay in our apartment B303 with one of the most spectacular views of Barcelona and the sea that we have. You cannot really see the background as there was a lot of sun that day but the view in person is really breathtaking. These are Jaap's children who took full facilities of the swimming pool and the beach area. What the little girl is explaining (from what they explained to me) is about going all around the city on the Barcelona tour bus.

Just a short while ago, I met a charming couple here in Barcelona. They stayed in our B305 flat with the view of the Plaza Catalunya...the sightseeing all around...the restaurants. They had a great time with their whole family. The one thing that really stood out in their memories however was living the magic of the Barcelona football team winning over Madrid in the semifinals of the Championships. Barcelona has a long history of celebrating victories in the top of the famous Ramblas area and the Plaza Catalunya so although they were across the Plaza, they were still able to appreciate and cheer along with the die hard Barça fans in the city.

Fiona's family came to Barcelona to really see what the city had to offer them. Her family came from all over the world and they stayed together in our B305 flat in Plaza Catalunya. Eating out in Barcelona is really one of the cool things to do when you are in the city as there are great restaurants all over the city and the whole lot of variety in such close proximity. I don't understand French very well sadly, but I think that what Jonothan is saying here is that other than the fact that he had trouble with parking his car (they towed him for parking in a green area zone...oops!) he had a nice time here in his Barcelona apartment. This group of guys had been to Barcelona before and knew the city quite well. They had no problems ping ponging from the city center to the beach with the public transport. Talk about a weekend getaway to Barcelona with the guys that came out well!

Niclas and his family came all the way from Sweden to visit Barcelona. They stayed in B217, one of our single family apartments in the Selva de Mar area. In our conversations together, they told me that it was their first time in Barcelona but that they were excited and looking forward to seeing everything Barcelona. In their check out, they told me about how they went to the beach, but mostly traveled around in the city center although they were in the beach area. The girls in the family did a lot of shopping and the guys...well of course, they went to see the Barça footballs stadium and they even got a chance to see the game against Ossasuna! Tais and her girldfriends are some brave ladies! They started their European adventure in Barcelona and then were going to make it out to Italy. During their stay they enjoyed the Barceloneta area (found a place for really amazing nachos which I cannot for the life of me remember it's name) and the main city center. Beth came with her family who are used to traveling all around the world. They told me about their adventures in Thailand and in India. They were one of the few families to really take advantage of walking around in the park areas surrounding their apartment building. They even were able to tell me about some little corners that even I didn't know where around there! This apartment is one of the best for families because there is the sports area right there and the green areas to run around in. It was a pleasure to meet Beth's family. ODYSSEY LUXURY PLAZA CATALUNYA

There is a reason that B330 attracts so many guy groups! The apartment is totally a lady killer although Vishant and his friends did not take advantage of that point. Instead, their best memory in Barcelona was making fun of their dear friend by doing a little game of hackey sack. The loser had to go in the children's carousel in the Maremagnum area. Vishant and his friends also came prepared for the Odyssey apartment with their Playstation games brought from home. It really was a vacation to remember.

Dear Saras, We have returned home last week, and still are living on our memories of Barcelona. Our arrival was painless, and the fact that you met us on our arrival and introduced us to the appartment and the neighborough was most welcome. The appartment was spacious, clean, big enough for 6 adults, and the location just off the Universitat and Plaza Catalunya was perfect. We took the Hop on/off bus the first morning to get to know the highlites, then walked everywhere, took the very convenient Metro if we were getting a bit tired. Barcelona is a fantastic city, the architecture, and not just Gaudi, the sensible layout, the infrastructure, the urbanity and civility of the place, the public art, the food, the museums, we lined up for the Picasso museum, free every first Sunday of the month, well worth the line up! The atmosphere, tapas and cava across the street at El Xampanyet were fantastic too! We took the train for couple of day trips to Figueres, Girona and Montserrat, also very convenient, the train stations are so close, underground, walking distance as well, how civilized! Even the weather was perfect, 25C, first week of April, we still are only breaking the teens at home in Toronto! We are looking forward to going to Barcelona again, next time even longer than the week, there is so much to do, see and just enjoy life. Henry and his friends came from Denmark for the promise of the famous Barcelona sunshine. In addition to the Barcelona sun, they found a great city full of things to do and see. Mary came with her husband to Barcelona to see what all the fuss was about. They had heard great things from their friends who came to Barcelona before. They had heard that the food was great, that the architecture was fantastic, but boy did they have a surprise once they got here! Mary and her partner were some of the few who come to Barcelona and then leave changed. They really couldn't find anything wrong with their whole vacation. They loved the people, the climate, the rhythm and the feeling of the city. Be careful Mary. When people start saying these things, they usually end up living here!

With 12 people, mostly couples, its very difficult to find accommodation that can fit your group. It's also sad to split up into different places when the whole point of coming to Barcelona is to have a nice time with your family and friends. My overall experience with You Stylish was really positive. It was really great getting to Barcelona and coming to the exact apartment that I was seeing online months before. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to rent an apartment because I had heard some stories from my friends about getting pics of an apartment and then arriving and getting a completely different place. Well, it wasn't like that at all. The apartment was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. The terrace was perfect and the decorations were exactly like the pictures. The key point here is that there were no surprises. We had a really fun vacation and it's likely that the fact that we rented an apartment this time instead of going to a hotel probably helped a lot.
Also, the girls at the agency were great and answered all my questions really fast before I came. We saw just about everything in Barcelona in a whir. I definitely will be coming back with my family and I have no doubt that I will call up Catalina and Eva at the agency to find a place to stay for next year. Thanks girls! See you next time!

What happens in Barcelona, stays...in...Barcelona? Not when you come face to face with what could have been a near death experience I suppose. Jeff and his 11 friends came to Barcelona initially to study the fantastic arquitecture that Barcelona has to offer. Obviously that is not all that they did. Not only did all 12 of them get to stay together under one roof (which must have been an experience in itself), they also had a chance to do some exciting things like riding a motorscooter through the city and living it up in the Barcelona nightlife. Here is the best memory that Jeff had during his time here in Barcelona. They had other great memories...but I can't tell them to you.

We will be going on a cruise... we realize that this is only a 2 nite stay, however you were so great in helping us last year, we are hoping that you can help us this time.

Dear Saras, Our family thouroughly enjoyed our time in Barcelona. The location of the apartment worked well for us, with a 2 and 4 year old, since it was much more quiet than the "inner city". It was easy to get to the Metro and anywhere else we wanted to go in the city. And there we just enough good restaurants near by if we didn't feel like getting on the Metro. We had a great time down by the beach and enjoyed the walk towards Barceloneta. You (Saras) were wonderful at giving us advice and recommendations of things to do and places to eat. AMAZING view of the Mediterranean sea, terrace that went on for ages...the apartment is much nicer in person than it even showed in the pictures...I mean I really don't know how to describe it to give it justice. Hi Saras, The apartment was perfect. Everything was new, modern and comfortable. I appreciated the view overlooking the park from the terrace and of course, being in the Born area was the best part. We found so many little corners of the neighborhood like this little romantic restaurant called Sikkim that was really close to the apartment. We also found this great little champagne restaurant right by Santa Maria del Mar. On the weekend there was a woman singing opera while we sipped on champagne and ate olives. Our experience with You Stylish and Barcelona was perfect and exactly what we needed. A short but relaxing vacation just my wife and I. This apartment was very comfortable for 6 adults. We loved all the natural light from the large french doors/windows. All of the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was a little small, but we enjoyed fixing our breakfasts, & we were able to cook nice dinners 5 of our 10 nights in Barcelona. The location of the apartment was fantastic -- close to many sights, restaurants, the Boqueria & Santa Catarina markets & across the street from El Corte Ingles with the huge grocery store in the basement - open most nights till 10 pm. The staff was very helpful & friendly; Eva even recommended her hospital when I had to take my daughter to the ER. We really appreciated being picked up at the airport on our arrival; what a bonus. You-Stylish apartment and service quality Obviously, quite frankly, we came to Barcelona to celebrate our very own immature Super Sweet Sixteen Redneck Rampage Party @Ramblas. Despite our honorable intention, we felt it was essential to have a quality accommodation in walking distance to all major attractions. Overall, the apartment was exactly what we were hoping for. We can absolutely recommend it to a wide variety of sophisticated guests. To adapt the marketing slogan of a fast food company the apartment was simply ‘window licking good’. The light at the end of the tunnel was just a sign that the fridge was getting empty. We were devastated when we had to leave after only three days.
For the You-Stylish.com service, especially the individual support and the competence of our friendly check-in agent Saras must be emphasized positively, thus making it obviously very difficult to find a comparable accommodation. We were utterly impressed with the professional and helpful assistance you gave us throughout the whole stay (shuttle bus, local restaurants, advice…). In addition, it was a pleasure to listen to your perfect English, so communication was not an issue at all.

Nightlife – Barcelona from a touristic viewpoint On a socio-cultural and touristic level, you will be treated very friendly from the locals. I personally never felt like it’s a dangerous place and there was no situation where someone was unfriendly with us. Barcelona offers different cultures, lifestyles and tourists are an important factor for the identity of the city. In this regard, Barcelona is a great place for being a nerdy tourist! It’s a big party all the time if you are asking for it. You won’t need Rafael Nadal’s biceps or Carles Puyol’s dead hairstylist to make friends.
It’s more the awareness that is needed to identify the ‘costs’ of being part of a touristic community, as well as the strategies that you can use to either strengthen the ties to other tourist groups (preferably from other countries) or strike a balance between being part of, yet distinct from, the touristic community. Catalans are proud people, but they are not complicated. We made a lot of friends in a very short period of time. It’s worth to celebrate and respect each individual identity (an open mind is helpful). People will show you a different side of the city (far away from the mass-tourism approach) and it’s easier to gain access to certain clubs when you are with locals. Consecutively, Barcelona is a big candy shop and it’s impossible to see everything. You definitely will want to have some help. As a result, I think it is important for tourists to find ways to combine and leverage their different experiences, thus motivating this personal review. Quintessence therefore: I’ll be back! Well, probably more as a traditional visitor next time. Nevertheless, it’s fantastic to enjoy some quality-time in one of the stylish apartments, when you need a little break from the cultural orgy the city offers. Apartment B217 Having trawled the internet for what seemed like hours finding the You Stylish Barcelona Apartments website was an absolute delight! The detailed (yet uncluttered) layout, property details and clarity of images made it the most user friendly website I had visited while trying to find accommodation in Barcelona. The friendly, informative and efficient way in which my booking was taken gave me peace of mind that I was dealing with a professional and experienced company. The property did not disappoint and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Barcelona for business or pleasure. Located in a nice quiet residential area a few km from the city centre, it gave the option of being able to have a leisurely walk along the lovely beaches to Port Vell / Las Ramblas via the Olympic Port. The restaurants and beach bars along the way also give you the option of being able to eat / drink at some of the quieter establishments. In the opposite direction, lots of bars and restaurants within 10 minute walk in a very pleasant undercover shopping mall. This is my third visit to Barcelona and previously I have stayed in hotels; next time however You stylish Barcelona Apartments will certainly be my first port of call! We did business with the You-Stylish rental company under special circumstances. In fact, the team, notably composed of Kate and Saras, saved our visit in Barcelona in late september 2010. My wife and I have rented houses, condos and summer homes on many occasions all around North America, South America, the Caribbean and in Europe. In late september, we made a reservation from Canada with another company located in the area of Barcelona. At our arrival in the city, we went to the location of our rental, which turned out to be something totally different than we had expected and in a sector of the city in which, we felt, our safety would have been in jeopardy. Then we decided to be relocated somewhere else, (near the olympic area) and lose our deposit. That was our choice! However, after waiting at the hotel for two days without any news, and without a solution, we had contact with another company to find us what we were looking for. We contacted other companies like "Come to barcelona" which treated us without respect and consideration. In addition, they made false representation and simply tried to exploit our situation. When we understood what was really happening, they let us down, even with an official reservation. Then we contacted, Kate from Stylish, she listenned to us, understood our needs and quickly reacted and came back with a reasonable solution within 1 hour. This is what we call "professionalism!" You Stylish even found a way to send us a taxi driver to pick us up in the middle of a General Strike in the City and take us to the location of the rental. Then we arrived at the You Stylish appartment, which was totally fantastic, clean and located in a very safe environment. Everything was perfect and totally fitting all promises from the representative, Kate and and her collaborator, Saras. In conclusion, we strongly do recommend Stylish for your rental. Sara, Thanks for your message. We truly did enjoy our stay at the apartment once the small technical issues were resolved. The service was very efficient and responsive and addressed most of our queries However, It would have been helpful to have some of the manuals for the TV and DVD and music player available so we could figure out to use these quickly rather than guess work. The apartment was located in an excellent area close the all the amenities we required and the views from all the rooms were great. On a more critical note I think there should have been a full check on the apartment beforehand by 'housekeeping to address the broken kettle, missing light bulbs and lack of lighting on the veranda areas. The children absolutely loved the pools and play areas and I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a gym and indoor play area available as well.My parents were extremely comfortable and the apartment was very spacious for all 6 of us. A very sincere thanks to Sara and Kate who addressed all my numerous queries quickly and fully and were great to speak to. Thanks to Sara for giving us some info and tips which helped during our stay, organising transport following our check out and helping with our bags. All in all, I will and have already recommended 'You Stylish' as well as the beautiful city of Barcelona, to friends and family We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later! For your fresh fruit the market in 50m away. As we hired mopeds we had a parking at the back of apartment, this was superb. I would highly recommend hiring mopeds, just be careful on the roundabouts!!!! Over all Barcelona is a fantastic vibrant city with great food, night life and having the beach on your door step is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our You-Stylish apartment and our trip to Barcelona. Check-in with Saras was extremely smooth and she offered helpful advice about the surrounding area. The apartment interior was great, just as it looked in the pictures, and the location was perfect. The apartment was on a safe, quiet street, but it was only a short walk to Las Ramblas and the main shopping and tourist areas around Plaza Catalyuna and Passeig de Gracia. We found good restaurants nearby around the Plaza de la Universitat. We particularly liked the el Born area of Barcelona, which was a quick cab ride from the apartment. We had good dinner experiences at Cheese Me and La Luna restaurants in el Born, and after dinner bars like La Fianna, Nose and Miramelindo had a great vibe. Shopping in el Born was great too, especially on and around Carrer de l'Argenteria. We also had a great dinner at CDLC, located at the Port Olimpic. We chose the apartment in the Diagonal Mar for its location on the beach and the view of the Mediterranean and we were not disappointed! The apartment was very nicely furnished and was large enough to accommodate our party of 6 very comfortably. The very large terrace was our favorite part with an excellent view of the Meditteranean and the St Joan fireworks! You Stylish did an excellent job making this part of our stay in Barcelona go without a problem. Saras was very lovely to work with and was very accommodating as we arrived at the apartment rather late in the evening. There terrace on top of the building was a nice extra place to hang out in the open air and the apartment itself was perfect for the 6 of us. The area around the apartment is so quiet and tranquil which is exactly what we wanted and the beach is across the street so we were there on the beach most of the time. I'm going home with a tan. We found the apartment to be, apart from lovely, quite convenient. There is a big mall right down the steet, we found the local grocery store within walking distance, the beach is right acoss the street and the Barcelona Tour Bus has a bus stop right across the street. The blinds in the bedrooms were cool. They kept all the light out. The apartment in general was pretty cool because it's really well lit up with all the wrap around windows. The silence is incredible here. You would think that there would be more noise considering we are in the city, but at night the apartment was reminescent of an Edward Hopper painting. We stayed there for 6 nights during Christmas Holidays 2009. The renovated interior of the apartment, comfortable and trendy. The staff were all kind enough to us. They really know how to accommodate their guest. Never forget to go up to the roof. You can take a view of Mediterranean Sea and El Temple de la Sagrada Familia because the apartment is located at the top of Passeig de Gracia!! Major Metro station is about 3 min. walk from the apartment. Very convenient to go everywhere. We found a good restaurant near the hotel named "Shojiro", just 5 min. walk from the apartment, which serves Mediterranean dishes and run by Japanese. It was so nice. I will never fail to stay here again when I return to Barcelona! M.

?The Apartment was fantastic!!! Every thing in the apartment was brand new and trendy; the apartment had a huge balcony with breath taking sea views. ?Only five mins. walk to the beaches and beach bars. There is an excellent flat running route along the promenade. Excellent location if you want to be by the beach. The Marina is a lively place to go in evening with very trendy bars, go to the bars on the side of the casino (which will be on your right side getting out of cab) as the bars are more up market on this side. Is only a five min ride in cab and cheap. ??Born was also a great place to go in evening by cab, very chilled good restaurants and small bars great local atmosphere. ??The staff at You Stylish are so helpful and always on call if you have queries. I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends, and will be booking with them again. ??Thanks ?’You Stylish!! ?B
