So…Barcelona breakfasts. The norm, from my experience, is a cup of coffee and a pastry or a sandwich. Some people are even “healthier” and have a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Sandwiches and pastries are nice once in a while but sometimes a person just needs a good and hearty sit down restaurant to have a nice full breakfast. If you find yourself looking for fried eggs, pancakes and/or the classic fry up equipped with beans, tomato, bacon and the works, then you have to go to special places in the city that actually offer that sort of thing. Lucky for you, here are the top five places to get your brunch on in Barcelona.

This year we had a wonderful surprise Christmas party with some of our closest You Stylish friends. The highlight, amongst other things, was the delicious batch of “You Stylish” cookies and cupcakes made by a very talented lady in Barcelona who calls herself “Soñando en dulce.” The brains behind the operation is Anita who makes pastries as a personal hobby. Oh what lovely things can be made for the love of the bake! MMMmmmm!!!…

GIANT PASTA ART on the STREETS of BARCELONA
Here in Barcelona they don’t just celebrate Christmas with skimpy light displays and manger scenes of the Baby Jesus being born, oh no! Another great traditional decoration that you can find in the Barcelona streets are giant sized galets pasta shells. During the day it looks like a giant had spilled a bit of lunch on various street corners and at night, these babies are even rigged to glow.
